IOEC: EVENTS AND FACTS

FIRST MEETING OF THE EURASIAN LAWYERS ASSOCIATION
On 10 December, the first meeting of the Eurasian Lawyers Association brought together lawyers, advocates, and human rights defenders from eight countries. The meeting addressed the need to develop mechanisms to harmonise international law and create a favourable legal climate for a multipolar world. Key areas of focus include: expert legal findings, joint human rights activities, mutual legal assistance, and the development of the international system of arbitration courts.

OF THE RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS IN THE DECEMBER PODCAST “EURASIAN DIALOGUE”
On 6 December, Dmitry Birichevsky, Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Marat Berdyev, Rus-sia’s Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large for the G20, APEC and BEP Affairs, Senior Russian Official at APEC, met with the author and host of the “Eurasian Dialogue” podcast Dmitry Stasyulis, President of the IOEC, to discuss the out-comes of the BRICS, APEC, and G20 summits, the reform of global institutions, the prospects for the Greater Eurasian Partnership, and the 80th anniversary of the Department of Eco-nomic Cooperation of the Russian MFA.

PODCAST WITH DALBIR SINGH, NATIONAL SECRETARY OF INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS
On 11 February, Dr. Dalbir Singh, National Secretary of the Indian National Congress, President of the Foundation for Policy and Governance, and the author and host of the podcast Dmitry Stasyulis, President of the IOEC, recorded a dialogue. It fixed on Russian-Indian relations within the context of integration associations, and focused on the global agenda, modern challenges, and the potential for addressing them within BRICS, G20, the Greater Eurasian Partnership, the World Forum “New Era—New Ways,” and the participation of the Indian delegation in the general meeting of the World Forum in August 2025 in Moscow.

OLEG IVANOV, VICE PRESIDENT OF THE IOEC, AT THE ROUND TABLE WITH “RUSSIA TODAY”
On 17 February, the round table “Munich Security Conference: Outcomes, Assessments, and Prospects” was held on the platform of the Russia Today media group. Oleg Ivanov, Vice President for Scientific and Educational Cooperation of the IOEC, Deputy Head of the Department of international and national security of the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Russia, shared his views on modern trends in global politics and the outcomes of the 61st§Munich Security Conference.

DIPLOMATS FROM THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA VISIT THE IOEC
On 27 February, Dmitry Stasyulis, President of the IOEC, and Alexander Biryukov, Vice President for Cooperation with Africa of the IOEC, welcomed H.E. Genet Teshome Jirru, Ethiopian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia, Roza Yerukneh Alemu, Deputy Head of Mission for Eco-nomic Cooperation, Head of the Embassy’s Chancellery, and Blen Mesfin Fisiha, Third Secretary of the Embassy, at the IOEC headquarters. The parties discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral foreign trade relations, the participation of the Ethiopian delegation in the World Forum “New Era— New Ways,” and the prospects for creating the IOEC Eurasian International Business Center as a platform for establishing new partnerships essential for the development of sectors of the Russian and Ethiopian economies.

MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
On 28 February, Dmitry Stasyulis, President of the IOEC, met with H.E. Abdulrahman Al-Ahmad, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, at the Embassy in Moscow. H.E. Abdulrahman Al-Ahmad emphasized the importance of deepening dialogue on international and regional agendas, as well as expanding cooperation in trade, economy, humani-tarian efforts, culture, and other areas. Dmitry Stasyulis highlighted the significant potential for developing bilateral relations and acknowledged the substantial contribution of the Saudi Arabian government and the Ambassador personally in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN
On 3 March, Dmitry Stasyulis, President of the IOEC, met with H.E. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation, at the Embassy in Moscow. The discussion focused on developing partnerships in economy, business, and culture, strengthening the IOEC Eurasian International Business Center with companies and investors from Bahrain, and the participation of the Ambassador and his representatives in the large-scale meeting of the World Forum “New Era—New Ways” in August 2025. In conclusion, the Ambassador proposed hosting the World Forum 2026 in Bahrain.
