WE REMAIN COMMITTED TO STRENGTHENING DIALOGUE WITH OUR PARTNERS, THE ISLAMIC WORLD, AND OPEN TO MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL ECONOMIC COOPERATION.
Welcome to the International Economic Forum “Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum”! The capital of the Republic of Tatarstan once again warmly greets guests from across the globe, confirming its status as a sought-after platform for hosting large-scale international business events.
For centuries, Russia—as a multi-ethnic nation—has been open to diverse engagement with the Islamic world. Today, it continues to successfully and steadily expand its economic, scientific, educational, and humanitarian ties. I would like to express my gratitude to the organisers and guests for their dedication to consolidate efforts in fostering friendship, mutual understanding, and trust between our nations and peoples.
Forum participants will engage in discussions covering a broad spectrum of practical topics from economy, trade and construction to investment, Islamic finance, cultural and humanitarian collaboration. The current phase of international relations sets new challenges and tasks: striking a balance to forge partnerships in a multipolar world.
On the sidelines of the Forum, the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia — Islamic World” will convene for an annual meeting marking its 20th anniversary. Over two decades, the Group has established itself as a unique platform for interfaith and intercivilisational dialogue. This year, its special session will focus on the Greater Eurasian Partnership.
Put forward by President Putin in 2025, this initiative is an economic and civilisational endeavour aimed at fostering mutually beneficial cooperation among integration groups, projects, and initiatives, as well as harmonising bilateral and multilateral trade and economic agreements based on common principles and values.
We will continue refining our approaches to enhance them with practical meaning, while systematising and structuring multifaceted economic engagement with our closest partners, guided by existing practices and mechanisms.
We remain committed to strengthening dialogue with our partners, the Islamic world, and to mutually beneficial economic cooperation. In this respect, deepening engagement within Greater Eurasia will yield long-term benefits, contributing to a just world order and the sustainable development of our economies.
I am confident that the discussions ahead, both within the Group of Strategic Vision and at the International Economic Forum “Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum,” will make a significant contribution to diversifying approaches and modalities for implementing the Russian initiative, and will give a new momentum to its implementation.
I wish you every success in your work and all the best!
