Ghanaian delegation visits MOES and Eurasian Dialogue

On June 25, MOES President Dmitry Stasyulis and Vice President for Cooperation with African Countries Alexander Biryukov met with representatives of Ghana at the organization's headquarters.

The negotiations were attended by the city manager of the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly Emmanuel Baisi and the head of the international block Hans Bernard. In 2025, economic ties between Russia and Ghana continue to strengthen.

The basis of Russian exports are oil products, metals, grain and fertilizers. Ghana supplies gold, cocoa beans and aluminum ore to the Russian Federation. At the meeting, the representatives of Ghana said that local businesses are showing an active interest in working with Russia.

The areas of agriculture and technology are the most relevant for cooperation today. The Ghanaian side confirmed the participation of the delegation of the Republic of Ghana in the Forum "New Era - New Paths" on August 20-21 and participation in the session dedicated to investments in the region. There are also plans to organize business missions to Ghana for Russian companies. This work will be carried out within the framework of the International Eurasian Business Center MOES.

The prospects for further growth of relations between our countries are connected, first of all, with the political will of national leaders. The new President of Ghana, John Mahama, a graduate of a Soviet university and winner of the Pushkin Medal for the popularization of Russian culture, openly declares the priority of cooperation with Russia.
