Kazan will become the center of discussions on the Greater Eurasian Partnership development strategy.

On May 14, 2026, a special session, "Greater Eurasian Partnership: Development Strategy," will be held on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KAZANFORUM," co-organized by IOEC.
The session will bring together leading Russian and foreign diplomats, representatives of integration associations and the academic community, members of the Russia – Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, government officials, business representatives, the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, and journalists.
Venue and time: Kazan Expo IEC, Hall 7 (G5), May 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
The session will be organized by:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation;
The Russia – Islamic World Strategic Vision Group;
The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA);
International Organization of Eurasian Cooperation (IOEC);
Economic Society of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The central theme of the session will be Russian President Vladimir Putin's initiative – the Greater Eurasian Partnership, which is being formed not as a new organization, but as a framework architecture uniting the potential of the EAEU, CIS, BRICS, SCO, China's Belt and Road Initiative, member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and others.
The topics to be discussed include: • the priorities of the long-term strategy of the GEP and the role of Islamic countries in its development; • aligning national interests and sustainable development goals within the framework of regional cooperation; • formats for possible effective interaction within the GEP between member states of the EAEU, CIS, BRICS, SCO, and OIC.

We expect that the dialogue in Kazan will not only help develop a long-term vision for the development of the GEP but also strengthen practical cooperation between the participating states as part of the transition to a multipolar world order.
